Mirror by Sylvia Plath
I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions. 1
Whatever I see I swallow immediately 2
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike. 3
I am not cruel, only truthful- 4
The eye of the little god, four cornered. 5
Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall. 6
It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long 7
I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers. 8
Faces and darkness separate us over and over. 9
Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me, 10
Searching my reaches for what she really is. 11
Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon. 12
I see her back, and reflect it faithfully. 13
She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands. 14
I am important to her. She comes and goes. 15
Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness. 16
In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman 17
Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish. 18

Lil Wayne – Mirror Lyrics
With everything happening today
You don’t know whether you’re coming or going
But you think that you’re on your way
Life lined up on the mirror
don’t blow it
Look at me when I’m talkin to you
You looking at me but I’m lookin through you
I see the blood in your eyes
I see the love in disguise
I see the pain here in your pride
I see you’re not satisfied
And I don’t see nobody else
I see myself I’m looking at the
Mirror on the wall,
here we are again
Through my rise and fall
You’ve been my only fan
You told me that they can understand the man I am
So why are we here talkin’ to each other again
Oh, I see the truth in your lies
I see nobody by your side
but I’m with you when you re all alone
And you correct me when I’m lookin wrong
I see that guilt beneath the shame
I see your soul through your window pain
I see the scars that remain
I see you Wayne, I’m lookin at the..
Mirror on the wall, here we are again
Through my rise and fall
You’ve been my only fan
You told me that they can understand the man I am
So why are we here talkin’ to each other again
Lookin at me now I can see my past
Dang I look just like my dad
Light it up, that’s smoke at mirrors
I even look good in the broken mirror
I see my momma smile that’s a blessin
I see the change,
I see the message
and no message could been any clearer
So I’m stared with the man in the…
Mirror on the wall, here we are again
Through my rise and fall
You’ve been my only fan
You told me that they can understand the man I am
So why are we here talkin’ to each other again
uh…Mirror on the wall, here we are again
Through my rise and fall
You’ve been my only fan
You told me that they can understand the man I am
So why are we here talkin’ to each other again
(so why are we talkin to each other again)
