ReplyDeleteI liked the one about Pius Kamau, a black doctor. I liked his so much because he talks about being inspired by MLK's speach about being equal. also because instead of being bitter towards his racist patient who spat on him he still did all he could to save that patoents life.
Daja Parker-My favorite one was "Doing Things My Own Way" by Bela Fleck. It's my favorite because he was inspirired by his grandfather to strat music, had his grandfather not been the way he was Bela Fleck might have given up before he even started.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite one was "Music" by Andrew Giaman. The reason it was my favorite was because he says that music is a way of life for a lot of people. It helps you to get all of your emotions out, those emotions may be happy or sad, but either way music helps you get all of it out and put it into the musics words. Everyday after school, when i get on the bus, i listen to my ipod. Depending the mood i felt that day, is what song i'll want to listen to. For example, if i had a bad day, im going to listen to, "it smells like teen spirit", Nirvana, or if im feeling happy about the day i'll want to listen to, " brighter than the sun", Colbie Calliet. Music is my life and that story related to how i felt towards music. Music is my love and my life. Ayden Lowe
ReplyDeleteTyler "you can do what you put your mind to"
ReplyDeleteIt motivate me to rlize any thing is possable
Angery Rodriguez.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite passage was " The Connection Between Strangers" I really liked it beacuse it talks about how that little girl did something so small and tiny and made such a huge impact on the man, how a small " Thank you" ment so much to him. Also what i really liked was that he appreciate it and how it changed his life completely.
Brandon Milam- Momma Mia "Time for lunch" made me hungry. What she said was true.
ReplyDeleteSam Cary- I like the one called "dogs are better than video games. I shows that it is better to be active and walk the dog than it is to stay insode to play video games and go on facebook all day.
ReplyDeleteTroy McCall-I like "Time for lunch". I was hungry ,and the things she said was true!I like pizza!
ReplyDeleteVictoria Palmieri
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was "I Believe in the Car Radio" by Molly because I could connect to it. I could connect at how radio or any other source of music can change your aditude in one car ride. I could go from being pissed about my day at school from really happy from hearing one of my favorite songs on the radio :D

ReplyDeleteArden Chaucer- The memoir That I relly liked was "We're getting another dog." I liked this memoir because i could relate exactly to what the writter was writting about. My family had a great dog that was very close to our hearts and when he died, we felt the exact same way. We ended up getting two other dogs.
ReplyDeletebrandon milam-i like the addiction memoirs.
ReplyDeleteJordan Thompson.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memoir is "Dogs are better than video games". This memoir is very descriptive on how one ladies dog is her personal trainer. She explains that her dog is far better than an alarm clock. She says that her dog, fu man chu, has given her better physical and mental health. I enjoy this memoir because dogs are my favorite animals and because I feel that dogs have a greater role on this earth than just a household pet.
Cassidy Parnell-
ReplyDeleteI read This I Believe: The Mile. It was really insiring and creative... I really liked this memoir.
Bradley- I like the"Community in a bowl of cereal". I like this because, people do all this hard work every single day and no impact is shown on anyone else.
ReplyDeleteI read a few memoirs but my favorite one was "Magic Poop Doctor". I liked this one the best because I had no idea what was going to happen. It turns out that the doctor healed his ankle with poop and a banana peal. - Kristie Dunn
ReplyDeleteAnna Kate Wood- "Teaching A Bad Dog New Tricks"
ReplyDeleteI really liked this memoir because i love dogs speficially labs, which this memoir is about. I can relate to this because I have an adopted chocolate lab who is a little crazy and we had to teach her how to act.
brandon milam- i really like the untold stories of kindness memoir where he said he saw the war in iraq as a civilian and a soldier
ReplyDeleteJaret Gutwald
ReplyDeleteMy favorite was "I Will Take my Voice Back" by: Quique Aviles. This was my favorite because he talked about his crack addiction. He has been in rehab 3 different times. He says "Crack transports you into paranoid obsession. You don’t sleep. You don’t eat. Your high lasts 10 to 15 seconds so you need to keep pumping your brain with this poison over and over again". He is trying to better his life by writing poetry and performing on stage.
